Learn more about Hadley Pollard!
Hadley was born on April 19, 2016, 8 weeks early weighing 2lbs 11oz. Hadley stayed in the NICU for 46 days and came home on June 3rd weighing 4 lbs.
Like most children with Down syndrome Hadley also was born with a congenital heart defect. Hadley was born with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), which is sometimes called a hole in the heart. People with ASD have an abnormal opening in the dividing wall between the upper filling chamber of the heart. July 14, 2020, Hadley had surgery to fix this. The surgery was a success. Since the surgery, Hadley has so much more energy and is growing faster. The hardest part after surgery was trying to keep Hadley calm!
Hadley currently attends North Canaan Elementary School.
